(2/26/10) Ave Maria University in Florida will host “The National Mass for Terri’s Day” at the Ave Maria Oratory on Wednesday, March 31, Priests for Life (PFL) and Terri’s Foundation announced this week in a joint press release. Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, President of Human Life International, and Fr. Frank Pavone, President of PFL, will concelebrate Mass in the Oratory along with many other priests. The purpose of “Terri’s Day” is to “foster education, prayer, and activism regarding discrimination against the disabled, and advocacy for people in situations similar to what Terri Schiavo and her family faced so that no one will again suffer as she did.” Terri Schiavo was a woman from Florida with a severe brain injury who died by court order of dehydration and starvation in 2005. Ave Maria University is featured in The Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic College, now a free online resource, for its strong Catholic identity. Source: Christian News Wire
